Description
Released in 1997, Canon Prima Super 105 (also known as the Autoboy Luna 105 in Japan) is part of Canon’s iconic Sure Shot lineup — a solid, pocketable 35mm compact camera built for hassle-free shooting and surprisingly sharp results.
It features a 38–105mm zoom lens with a fast f/3.8–9.9 aperture, constructed with 6 elements in 6 groups, including two aspherical lenses that help deliver excellent sharpness across the frame. The three-point AI autofocus system locks on quickly from 0.6m to infinity, and the real-image zoom viewfinder includes framelines and LED indicators for low-light and flash status.
Everything is automated: DX-coded film loading, advance, and rewind, with ISO support from 25 to 3200. Shutter speeds range from 2s to 1/550s, and the built-in flash offers multiple modes: auto, red-eye reduction, slow sync, fill-in, and off.
There’s a real-time shooting mode with almost zero shutter lag (just 0.03s), making it quicker to respond than most compacts of its time. A self-timer, tripod socket, and CR123A battery power complete the package.
This camera is in good condition overall: fully functional, tested, and film-ready. The back door has a small amount of play, but it closes securely and seals light-tight, so you’re all set to shoot.
