Fototeka invites photographers to take part in a COLLECTIVE ANALOG PROJECT that will take its final form as a printed photo album.
OPEN CALL CLOSED
The submissions are now complete. What follows is the selection process, where images begin to find their place in relation to one another. We are currently reviewing all entries and shaping the final structure of the collective album. Selected photographers will be announced soon.
This OPEN CALL invites photographers working on film to contribute to a shared publication shaped through editorial curation. The publication brings images together to form a visual flow. The focus lies on how photographs interact and what they reveal when they share space.
There is no fixed theme and no required statement. Instead, the project focuses on connection, on how images relate to one another and how meaning grows through sequence and visual dialogue.
Each photograph is considered as part of a larger whole, not as a standalone highlight. The album develops gradually, responding to how images coexist and support one another within the collective structure.
Selection is editorial and based on how images function within the publication. A submission may be represented by zero, one or several photographs in the printed album, depending on how the work contributes to the overall flow.
Alongside the printed album, a wider selection of submitted images will be shared across Fototeka’s online platforms throughout the project.
This is an invitation to think beyond individual impact and to consider how your photographs live next to others, how they balance, resonate and create a shared visual rhythm.
HOW TO ENTER
The submission fee is 39 Lei and applies to one set of up to ten photographs. The fee covers participation in the open call and access to the editorial selection process. Payment can be completed at the bottom of the page.
After completing payment, participants are redirected to a dedicated page where images can be submitted.
Multiple submissions are welcome for those who wish to enter additional bodies of work. Each submission is treated independently within the editorial process and requires a separate submission fee.

Why Is There a Submission Fee?
The submission fee supports the editorial work behind the project, the selection process and the production of the printed photo album.
It helps cover editing, design, layout, printing preparation and the ongoing presentation of the project across Fototeka’s online platforms. The fee allows the project to be developed with care and attention, from the open call stage to the final publication.
