Description

Finished in classic silver, the Olympus X-43 is a lightweight digital compact with the unmistakable appearance of an early-2010s camera. Released in 2010 and also marketed as the FE-47 in certain regions, it was created for effortless everyday photography. This example is presented in good overall condition, with a compact body and gently shaped front grip that make it comfortable to hold and easy to carry.

At its core is a 14-megapixel CCD sensor paired with a 5x optical zoom lens covering a useful 36–180mm equivalent focal range. From everyday snapshots and group photographs to portraits and distant details, the f/3.5–5.6 lens offers plenty of versatility in a small package. Super Macro mode allows focusing from approximately 3 cm, while the 2.7-inch LCD screen provides a clear view for composing and reviewing images.

The X-43 keeps photography direct and intuitive through Intelligent Auto, whichng face-detection autofocus, subject tracking and a dedicated mode for reducing blur. A selection of scene presets and creative Magic Filters—including Pop Art, Pin Hole, Fish Eye and Drawing—offers additional room to experiment. Powered by two standard AA batteries, it is a charming and uncomplicated compact camera for rediscovering the pleasure of everyday digital photography.
