The Konica C35 EF, affectionately nicknamed “Pikkari” in Japan, is a legendary 35mm compact camera introduced in 1975. It holds the distinction of being the first compact camera to integrate an electronic flash directly into its sleek body, making it a true pioneer in the world of point-and-shoot cameras.

At its core, the C35 EF features a sharp Konica Hexanon 38mm f/2.8 lens, renowned for delivering crisp, vibrant images. The zone focusing system allows you to select preset distances on the rotating lens barrel, making it easy to capture everything from candid street shots to everyday moments. The viewfinder even displays focus zones to help you get that perfect shot.

The camera employs auto-exposure via a CdS metering cell, with exposure locked by half-pressing the shutter button. The built-in flash automatically adjusts the aperture based on ambient light and focus distance, with a guide number of 14m at ISO 100 and a recharge time of 5-7 seconds.

The film speed can be manually set from ISO 25 to 400 by adjusting the disc around the lens. The light meter is powered by a 1.3V PX675 mercury battery (or a 1.5V button cell as a substitute), while the flash runs on two AA batteries.
