It uses standard 35mm film, but captures half-frame images—meaning you get up to 72 shots on a 36-exposure roll. This model features a fully mechanical auto-exposure system powered by a built-in selenium light meter—no batteries required. Just select the film speed (ISO 25–400), set the focus using the intuitive zone symbols (portrait, couple, group, mountain) and shoot. In “A” mode, the camera automatically selects the aperture and one of two shutter speeds (1/40 or 1/200). If there’s not enough light, the shutter locks and a red flag appears in the viewfinder—a smart safeguard that many mistake for a fault.
