The Agfa Microflex 300 Sensor, produced between 1972 and 1977, is a beautifully engineered Super 8 camera that brings classic film shooting into your hands with ease. Designed and manufactured by Minolta in Japan for Agfa, this model is admired for its combination of compact design, reliability and excellent optics.
At its core, the camera features the Agfa Movaron 8–32mm f/1.9 lens with a 4x zoom ratio. Both manual and automatic zooming are available, giving you flexibility in how you frame your shots. Manual focusing allows for precise control, while the single-lens reflex viewfinder with adjustable eyesight ensures accuracy and comfort. The viewfinder also provides practical information such as over- and under-exposure warnings and a focus scale indicator.
Exposure is handled automatically through TTL Electric Eye metering, with an integrated backlight control (+2/3 f-stop) for tricky lighting situations. The built-in 85A daylight conversion filter can be manually disabled if desired. Film speed is auto-detected for 25/40 ASA Super 8 cartridges, while filming is done at a standard 18 fps with a shutter opening angle of less than 180°.
Powered by just 2 AA batteries, the Microflex 300 Sensor is lightweight at 540g and designed with portability in mind. Additional features include a film counter (up to 15 meters), tripod socket, and remote control input for added convenience.
